Sometimes we get so many phone calls in one day, and what irritate me worst when somebody would call during the night. Most of them who call during those hours are just annoying telemarketers that I am not interested what their selling. They are just bunch of telemarketers that would harass you to no end. Will it be another Katrina?

It’s pretty sad people in New Orleans abandoned their houses again. I know how hard it is to evacuate but if you don’t have any choice, you do what you have to do. I’ve been there and done that, it was the hardest thing to do. I didn’t want to leave our house either because that’s our home, but like I said we had no choice back then. The only thing the circumstances are different but evacuation just the same. At least they did a better job this time than last time. Before the hurricane hit’s the area, they evacuate the people right away to the safe place. While watching the news earlier, they were talking about the hurricane and it gives me chills really bad. I don’t want to see another tragedy you know. But everything is up to God, we have no control over about the situation. My heart goes to all people of Louisiana and God Bless to them. Fun fun time together again

We had so much fun indeed! I was so glad to see the girls again today with baby Jadyn. We went to our favorite Filipino restaurant for we been craving for native Filipino foods. Afterwards we headed to the mall just roaming around with nothing much to do. Anne in other hand wants to shop some shoes for her family, so I drove them to DSW shoe store to get a better price. When they got done I drove us home to take a break because it was too hot for the baby. We rested awhile and cooked dinner for my husband. While my husband was eating with his food we headed to kohl’s to finish our shopping for shoes and some other stuff. It was really fun, and enjoyed spending time with them, and the baby was actually playing the whole time.

Good morning all folks! What a great morning to start, I woke a little bit early and get ready before my company gets here. I thought I woke up too early than what my plan was, but I guess wasn’t early enough. Annie got here with my task undone and I wasn’t ready yet. I was flying over to do all my chores and me getting ready you know, and I still have opps to do. How was your day guys?

How was your day been so far guys? Mine wasn’t so bad even though I’ve been nursing my headache all day. I had lunch with friends at olive garden and turns out well. But on my way home the traffic was horrible and it was not fun. I didn’t even expected it because it was still 3:PM but I guess I was wrong, and I completely forgotten during that time kids are out of school. Learned lesson huh? Although I went to the back road still didn’t help any, so I just drove further to find away that there is not much traffic.

Isn’t it looks yummy? I love strawberry or any berries for breakfast or snacks. It’s light and very healthy, its just perfect meal that would hold me up until lunch time. I can’t go anywhere with an empty stomach because that is unhealthy and I most likely eat the huge meal for lunch or supper. Having really Bad Headache

What a day to start. As soon as I woke up, I felt like my head is going to explode. My headache is killing me, allergy is attacking me again. I’m really surprised that I didn’t woke up in the middle of the night for my headache, it normally does. But thankfully I slept all night, otherwise it makes me so grouchy and moody today. Hopefully my headache it’ll go away this afternoon because I have to meet my friends and have lunch with them. It’s going to be a long day having headache that I can’t easily get rid off. I really hate weather around here and the allergies. I didn’t used to have any kind of this problem when I was still back home. Weather over here it’s weird and crazy. Excited to see my family soon

I am so excited, I have been counting the days to see my family again this fall. I missed them so very much especially the kids, and what makes it more exciting is, my sister just gave birth to a baby boy. I can’t wait to see the little one, another additional to the family. I’m sad though because they will have him baptize august 29, I wish to be there but is not going to happen. The schedule is fixed that they cannot change it, that’s the only day the priest can come to town. I understand that they can’t wait for me to get there, is no big deal anyway. As long as I can spend time with them that’s all that matter. I’m so excited that I can’t see straight, it drives my husband crazy because that’s all I ever talk about.

Saying Hello

How are you all folks? The weekend is over and tomorrow it’ll be another challenging busy week for everyone. Luckily I’m off tomorrow and am so glad since I had to work all weekends. I just wanted to rest tomorrow for my shoulders still hurting me, even though I already put the heating pad a few times. I don’t know what else to do, it’s really killing me and the heating pad is not helping any. Hopefully the pain it’ll go away soon or else I just have to call the doctor and make an appointment.

  Going to travel halfway around the world is something that I need to be preferred. Being in the airplane too long it makes my body hurts all over especially my neck. Travel airplane pillow is what I need. I have been searching online lately trying to find the right one that will be more comfortable for my neck. I admit it’s kind of hard to find what I am looking for. I’ve looked many places around here with no luck so far. Sparkling Fruit

Am not much of a breakfast type of person, but I have to fix something to eat before I go to work. I don’t want to leave the house with an empty stomach, so every morning I fixed light breakfast, either fruits or toast just enough to hold me until lunch time. This morning I mixed red and golden raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, and small strawberries. It’s very simple to make, and healthy breakfast meal. Hmm….yumyum!!!




Here the Ingredients:

1/4 cup honey
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
Fresh lemon balm sprigs (optional)
3 to 4 cups fresh berries (mix of red and golden raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, and/or small strawberries)
2 teaspoons snipped fresh lemon balm or 1/4 teaspoon finely shredded lemon peel


Steps:
1. In a small bowl stir honey and balsamic vinegar until combined. Stir in snipped lemon balm or lemon peel.

2. Place fresh berries in a compote or serving bowl. Drizzle with the honey mixture. Garnish with sprigs of lemon balm, if desired. Makes 4 servings.

………….Remember those old days when most folks had Old CRTs Tube TV? I remember when I was a little kid, we used to have it with black in white. Colored TV didn’t come along that time or even then people can hardly afford colored TV because is more expensive than Black in White. My Favorite Orange Bowknot Buns

When I was a stay at home wife, I used to cook just about everything, but my most favorite to do is to bake bread. I can cook any kind of bread when I set my mind to it, and the husband love eating home made bread, I made it from the scratch. But when I started working, all my cooking has to stop because I don’t have much time to do around the house anymore. By the time I get home from work, am dead tired that I can barely cook our dinner. The husband is very understanding that always helps me here to do the chores around the house or the cooking. I appreciate him more and he is very sweet. Anyway this Orange Bowknot Buns here that I miss so much. I love making it and I really enjoy turning over the dough a few times.



Ingredients:

3 to 4 teaspoons orange juice
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup orange juice
1-1/4 cups milk
2 tablespoons finely shredded orange peel (set aside)
1/3 cup sugar
1 teaspoon finely shredded orange peel
5 1/2 to 6 cups all-purpose flour
2 eggs
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup sifted powdered sugar
1 package active dry yeast


Steps:
1. In a large mixing bowl combine 2 cups of the flour and the yeast. In a saucepan heat and stir the milk, shortening, sugar, and salt just until warm (120 degrees F to 130 degrees F) and shortening almost melts. Add to flour mixture along with eggs and the 1/4 cup orange juice. Beat with an electric mixer on low speed for 30 seconds, scraping side of bowl constantly. Beat on high speed for 3 minutes. Using a wooden spoon, stir in the 2 tablespoons shredded orange peel and as much of the remaining flour as you can.

2. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Knead in enough of the remaining flour to make a moderately stiff dough that is smooth and elastic (6 to 8 minutes total). Shape dough into a ball. Place dough in a greased bowl, turning once to grease surface of dough. Cover; let rise in a warm place until double in size (about 1 hour).

3. Punch dough down. Turn out onto a lightly floured surface. Divide dough in half. Cover; let rest for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, lightly grease baking sheets.

4. Roll each half of dough to a 10x6-inch rectangle. Cut each rectangle into twelve 10x1/2-inch strips. Tie each strip into a loose knot. Place knots 2 to 3 inches apart on prepared baking sheets. Cover and let rise in a warm place until nearly double in size (about 30 minutes).

5. Bake in a 375 degree F oven for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. Cool slightly on wire rack.

6. In a small mixing bowl stir together powdered sugar, 1 teaspoon finely shredded orange peel, and enough orange juice to make of spreading consistency. Drizzle over warm rolls. Makes 24 rolls.

7. Make-Ahead Tip: Cool baked, unfrosted rolls completely. Store in a freezer bag or container in the freezer up to 1 month. Thaw the wrapped rolls at room temperature for 2 hours. Add icing after thawing.

Fried Banana

Today I have not eaten much and wasn’t feel like it either. So now am starving for not eating and I don’t know what eat, but when I looked in the pantry I found some bananas. I have an idea, I fry the banana in the cooking oil with brown sugar, isn’t that good? I really missed our bananas back home, we can cook it anyway we wanted it. Anyway I can’t complain because I have no control over it, I just have to make do of what we have here.

2 cups cut-up strawberries and/or whole raspberries
1 orange, peeled and sectioned
2 kiwifruit, peeled and thinly sliced
1 small apple or pear, cored and sliced
1/4 cup frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
2 bananas, sliced


Nutritional Information:
sodium: 4mg, cholesterol: 0mg, protein: 2g, saturated fat: 0g, calcium: 3%, fruit: 2 diabetic exchange, calories: 120, iron: 4%, total fat: 1g, fiber: 4g, vitamin C: 136%, carbohydrate: 29g.

Steps:
1. For dressing, in a blender container or food processor bowl place half of the berries, the orange juice concentrate, and sugar. Cover and blend or process until smooth; set aside.

2. In a large bowl combine kiwifruit, orange sections, bananas, peach slices, apple slices, and remaining berries. Serve fruit in bowls with dressing. Makes 6 servings

It`s Wednesday

Good morning folks! Today is Wednesday and it`s the middle of the week. I know some of are so busy at work and looking forward for the weekend to come. This coming weekend it’s going to be chaos everywhere because that’s the tax free weekend. So many out there that don’t even want to go out that weekend but there are more are going to go out to shop for the kids stuff. If I have a choice I won’t even dare to go anywhere during that day but too bad I have to work on both days Friday and Saturday that’s really a bummer…..but I guess isn’t so bad for I don’t have to work on Sunday so I have time to get away with the crowd. Anyway I didn’t me to whine here, I just want to say a good morning and have a wonderful Wednesday!!!

Accomplished nothing

Today I have not accomplished anything because I’ve slept the whole day. Blogging seemed so boring and I don’t know what else to do, so I decided to lay down. I was planning to do some shopping for my family but I didn’t feel like it to go anywhere, so nothing happened except me and hubby had dinner with friends. After dinner I told husband to go home because my friend going to drop me off. He’ll be bored with the girls talk, so he went home and I rode with my friend to go to her house. Honestly every time I hang out with them, the time it’s never enough because we talk non-stop just for about everything. As soon as we got to my friend’s house we didn’t waste any minute of it, we sat there and talk while my friend was cutting my hair. I’ve been wanting to have haircut for awhile but my beautician seemed so busy every time I called to make an appointment, she’s only available the day that I’m not so I just forget the whole thing. Luckily Mylene not busy this time so she cut my hair, my head feels so much lighter and thanks to her

All those people fled their homes because of the never ending agreement about Mindanao. All the civilians pay the high price because of the greed for power, all those people doesn’t deserved to be homeless and dies. I felt like Mrs. Arroyo was out of her mind for signing the agreement and turning the Mindanao over to the Muslim without the congress consent. Even if they get all Mindanao it’ll never be enough and they are going to ask for more. I feel so sorry to all those refugees who lost their houses today because of the unexpected attacked. They should know by now that they’ll never peace out there if the govt. will not stood up to them, and that seemed the biggest problem. Taking a break for now

Time for me to retire for now since my brain is too tired for making with so many opps in one night. Huh! I felt like my mind isn’t really functioning right because I used it too much. I am dreaming to have this new Apple-iPod touch 8GB MP3 Player. It’s a revolutionary multitouch interface is easy to use and the built-in Wi-Fi comes with a Safari Web browser. That way when I go somewhere I can still access in the internet anytime I want to. This is very handy, I can play music, watch video and surf the internet with the touch of my finger, and that’s very cool. It’s also five software applications: mail, maps, weather, stocks and notes. I really wish to get this one, and hopefully somehow or else am just dreaming and its free to dream.
